Your Film Collective
Your Film Collective invites you to join our collective for drinks, discussions, and film viewings. This group is open to film artists, creatives and people interested in film. Film is a creative medium that relies on the involvement of a number of people.
London is full of creatives and people interested in this art form. Your Film Collective offers a platform for people to discover one another and give them a venue to come together and connect with each other.
We will hold two sessions a month. One we will be a screening night where a feature film that has been put forward by the collective will be shown. There will also be a slot to show a short, made by a member of the group, before the feature. This will provide an opportunity for film artists to showcase their work, and place it in a ‘cinema context’. The second session will be a discussion night, the forum will be open to debate and critique the artists short/s and the feature.
Please note that the screening night will be open to all, inclusive for people who might just want to watch the films and not necessarily be part of the discussion group. As the founders of Your Film Collective, we are here to facilitate these sessions by providing the space, organising the films that you chose, chairing the discussions and bringing key guest speakers to the group.
All we ask of you is that you come along, bring your friends, and help us define the content of Your Film Collective by sharing your practice and ideas on film.
The settings will be in exciting new venues around London. Our first collaboration is with the Waterline, a great new bar on the canal in Haggerston. They have a perfect set up to show films, with a bar and restaurant for when we get hungry and thirsty. We look forward to hearing from you about what you might like to watch, and then debate. Put forward your ideas on here. . . . . .
Thanks, YFC
