Youssef is a creative problem solver. He specializes in turning creative ideas into fledgling projects, whether an entrepreneur taking their product to market for the first time or a city government looking to stimulate economic growth.

Youssef’s specialty is designing intelligent algorithms that can solve complex problems. His passion is understanding how the human brain works and attempting to mimic this using Artificial Intelligence, namely computational neuroscience.

As a staunch believer in radical and lateral thinking, and ‘out of the box’ theorizing, Youssef
regards taking risks with system design as the only way to make quantum leaps in advanced AI computing. He feels strongly that only by pushing the envelope of what’s currently regarded as ‘possible’ can today’s ‘impossible’ become achievable tomorrow.

Youssef is proud to be a cog in a machine way bigger than himself, as one of his other passions is humanitarianism and social justice. He has been involved with startups to help find technical solutions to address the refugee crisis from Eastern Europe, as well as having been involved with an exchange program for humanitarian professionals. Youssef wants to use AI to build a better future for everyone on our planet, for the many, not for the few.
