Yiannis Papanastasopoulos

Athens, Greece

19 year old stuydying filmmaking.

Since 2012 I am part of TEDxAthens organizing team, and specifically in the social media department. In 2012-2013 I was the social media manager of the Greek TV show “The New Files” part of Greek channel “SKAI”. It is a political news show with social character both in Greece and all over the world.

In the past I have worked for “Schoolwave”, award winning fashion photographer George Dimopoulos, Athens Exclusive Designers Week and more as a photographer and assistant. Through these intense events I tested my skills on swiftness and durability.

I shot and edited videos for Leontida Foundation, The Pics Project, Athens Video Art Festival, GLoVo, and various music videos for a greek band "The Ruckus Habit". I also had the pleasure to work with cinematographer Alexandros Maragos as a camera assistant for a TV interview, and participated in two short films “Fatherly Love” by Constantin Pilavios and “Beatitudes” by Aristotelis Maragkos just to see how a movie set works even at a smaller scale.

As an 19 year old and I am more than excited for all these (and many more) experiences I have gained because of my eagerness to learn and understand how things work in a more detailed and professional environment and I can't wait for things that are coming
