Tanya has been a local public access television personality, host, guest, and producer for Comcast channel 17 at Ann Arbor Community Television Network (CTN) since 1991.
She is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a BA in Telecommunications and Film.
In the early 90's she emerged as "Safety Girl," a no-nonsense, sexy, campy controversial talk show about sex, safer sex and outer-course. Her show gained cult status and national media interest's from MTV, HBO and Warner Brothers. However, it could not be easily packaged in one neat format. Warner Brothers said it was too raw, HBO said it was not R rated, and MTV said it was too controversial.
The award winning Safety Girl Show ended in 1999. Tanya re-emerged in 2009 as YpsiGirl, a pinked up, tutu wearing woman about town, sharing her favorite city life haunts and interviewing local and national guest's with her (side kick) camera man from the Safety Girl days. Her Sinatra wedding singer husband, Jesse Sinatra. (Who sang at both of her other weddings.)
