hi i’m ysabel or izzy! i am going into my fourth year as a med student at ICL (with a soft spot for paediatrics and ’subspecialty’ in biomechanics). i spend most of my time studying and playing a variety of instruments when i need to switch off. i’m also a first generation british woman with a hispanic mother and maghrebi jewish father.
my key interest in medicine is directly linked to working with children, with aligned specialties in cardiology. primarily due to own life experiences, including being a li fraumeni survivor of childhood ALL and living with multiple sclerosis, i have become tightly knitted with the NHS and view my colleagues & residents as a second family.
