hi i’m ysabel or iz! i am currently a third year med student at ICL (with a soft spot for paediatrics) but i am based in sheffield for this year. i spend most of my time studying, flying, seeing friends and playing a variety of instruments when i need to switch off. i’m also a first generation british woman with a hispanic mother and maghrebi jewish father.
my key interest in medicine is directly linked to working with children, with subspecialties in cardiology, neurology and oncology primarily due to own life experiences, including being a li fraumeni survivor of childhood ALL and living with multiple sclerosis, which have pushed me to become tightly knitted with the NHS.
