Yael Tsarfati

My name is Yael Tsarfati and I am a Senior at Arcadia University. I am studying Journalism and want to pursue a career in professional writing. This semester, I am interning at Montgomery News in Fort Washington, PA. I will be writing stories for the entertainment section of the paper, which will will help get my feet wet in the field. I am looking forward to learning the ins and outs of journalism at the newspaper. I have always known that I wanted to be a writer and am planning on writing a book for my senior thesis project next semester. I am a very creative person and want to write from experience, so it would be a work of biographical fiction. Eventually, when I graduate, I'd like to get it published.

Career wise, I would love to work in Entertainment Journalism in the future. I enjoy interviewing up and coming people and writing about exciting topics and events. I have already gotten some fun assignments for Halloween at my paper, which I am excited to write about. I have press passes to go to Six Flags Fright Fest and Terror Behind The Walls. Entertainment news is fun and fresh, so I really enjoy writing about it. Last semester, I wrote a piece about American Horror Story in The Tower (our school newspaper), and I have taken an interest in entertainment writing since. So I will continue to do what I love, write, and hopefully someday soon I will find my dream job.
