Emerging from Habiganj, a region frequently affected by climate-related vulnerabilities, he has become a prominent voice connecting grassroots realities with national and international policy processes. His work focuses on climate adaptation, loss and damage, youth engagement, environmental justice, and inclusive decision-making.

Through leadership roles in national, regional, and global platforms, Yudhishtir has contributed to policy discussions involving governments, United Nations agencies, Commonwealth institutions, and international civil society networks. His advocacy emphasizes equitable climate action and meaningful youth representation in public policy.

Early Life and Education

Born and raised in Nurpur Union of Shayestaganj Upazila, Habiganj District, Bangladesh, Yudhishtir developed an early interest in public speaking, debate, science, and civic engagement. His formative years were shaped by firsthand observations of environmental challenges affecting vulnerable communities, particularly those often overlooked in mainstream climate discourse.

A significant turning point came following Cyclone Amphan in 2020, when he witnessed the unequal distribution of climate attention and resources across different regions of Bangladesh. This experience strengthened his commitment to advocating for communities facing climate-related risks and inspired his long-term engagement in climate justice and youth rights.

He completed his higher secondary education at BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola and is pursuing a Bachelor of Social Science (B.S.S.) in Environment and Development Studies at United International University. Alongside his academic studies, he has participated in professional training programs supported by international development and humanitarian organizations, strengthening his expertise in climate policy, sustainable development, youth participation, and social impact.

Leadership and Policy Engagement

Yudhishtir has established himself as a youth leader capable of bridging local realities with global policy conversations. His work spans climate governance, sustainable development, environmental advocacy, and youth engagement.

He has served in leadership and advisory capacities across multiple international and regional platforms, contributing to discussions on climate resilience, loss and damage, adaptation finance, and youth-inclusive policymaking. His experience includes collaboration with United Nations mechanisms, Commonwealth initiatives, global youth coalitions, and regional networks working at the intersection of climate action and social justice.

His policy contributions have focused on strengthening youth representation within decision-making processes and ensuring that the perspectives of climate-vulnerable communities are reflected in national and international discussions.

International Engagement

Yudhishtir regularly engages with policymakers, diplomats, development practitioners, and international organizations to promote inclusive climate governance. His participation in high-level dialogues has enabled him to represent youth perspectives in discussions concerning climate resilience, sustainable development, and environmental justice.

Throughout his advocacy journey, he has interacted with senior government officials, United Nations representatives, parliamentarians, development partners, and global leaders, contributing youth perspectives to policy consultations and strategic discussions. His work is particularly recognized for amplifying the voices of communities that are often underrepresented in climate decision-making spaces.

His research contributions have informed policy discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives at both national and international levels. Through evidence-based advocacy, he promotes solutions that integrate scientific understanding, community experiences, and youth perspectives.

Yudhishtir’s work is guided by the belief that climate change is not solely an environmental challenge but also a matter of human rights, equity, and intergenerational justice.
