Ana Leon

Ana Leon is the Development Coordinator at Community Servings, a meals delivery and nutrition program for the critically and chronically ill in Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Biology, Ana relocated to Boston in search of public health and human service opportunities. She is passionate about raising funds, and awareness, as well as database development at Community Servings.

On her off hours and days, she is a mentor with the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston (7+ years!), and also serves on their Diversity Council to increase the number of women of color mentors. Ana is committed to making a social impact in her community. She serves on the board of ASPIRE, an organization that focuses on helping Asian-American women in career and leadership development. Ana was involved in the development of ASPIRE’s scholarship program, which has awarded $4,000 in scholarships since May 2012. Ana is also a steering committee member of Saffron Circle, an Asian giving circle and was integral in the growth of the +Acumen chapter in Boston.

She was recently recognized by the Big Sister Association as their 2013 Big Sister of the Year, named the 2013 Massachusetts' Big Sister of the Year by the Big Brother Big Sisters of America, and received the Heroes Among Us Award from the Boston Celtics.

When the weather becomes warmer, you can find Ana on a run, followed by a stop at JP Licks for Pistachio ice cream on a sugar cone.
