Yuliana Salinas

Non-Profit and Communications Professional and Freelance Writer in Chicago, Illinois

Since 2011, Yuliana Salinas has held diverse roles in public relations, social media, education, and sales advertising. Her roles at Olson and La Raza newspaper became the foundation for her interest in the communications field. Additionally, her passion for writing, and interest in digital trends, helped land her first Public Relations agency opportunity at Elemento L2. This was a rewarding role that gave her the tools to develop social media campaigns and support marketing communication efforts on behalf of clients. In 2016, she decided to make a jump to the non-profit sector as a means to give back to the community she grew up in.

Though her interest in writing stems from a very young age, it wasn’t until most recently that she began writing and showcasing her works. She has successfully placed blog posts in Gozamos and Huffington Post. In 2016, she was named a Fellow for an organization whose movement is to end hunger and poverty in the U.S. and abroad.

Yuliana grew up in Chicago, IL and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast & Electronic Communication and English from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
