Yunis Dekow is a seasoned journalist with over a decade of experience in news and media across local and international platforms.

Currently, he is th director of Innovatio and Strateg for Kulan Post. He was a corresponden for Eastleigh Voice Newspaper before joining Kulan Solitions. The paper writes about Nairobi's diverse communities with authentic narratives and analyses.

Additionally, Yunis is the immediate Treasurer of the Crime Journalists Association of Kenya and Secretary General of Northern Kenya Media Practitioners.

He founded Royal Halann, a Nairobi-based media strategy company, and served before that as Program Consultant at CNCPT CREATIVE, overseeing Kenya projects.

Previously, he directed editorial operations at Dalsan Media Group in Mogadishu and served as Chief Content Officer at CBA TV in Somaliland.

He has also worked with Star FM, Radio Midnimo, Key FM, Risala FM, Radio Dalsan,Radio Tehran, Sifa FM, Warsan Fm, among other broadcasters.

Yunis holds a journalis and media studies degree from the University of Nairobi and has contributed to strategic communications initiatives for international organizations in Kenya and Somalia, achieving significant outcomes.
