Yunus Emre Tozal

Yunus Emre Tozal is a geospatial engineer and urban development specialist who graduated from Yıldız Technical University’s Geomatics Engineering Department. Throughout his career, he has contributed to major infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and social integration projects for prestigious institutions such as Uskudar Municipality, ITU, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, TOKI, National Survey Service and the Architects and Engineers Group. He has also held long-term editorial roles, enriching his expertise in urban history, planning, and cultural studies. Since 2018, Yunus has been living in Chicago, working for the City of Chicago while pursuing a Master of Arts degree at Catholic Theological Union.

Focusing on concepts like Cittaslow and Compassionate Cities, Yunus conducts research on urban sustainability and social integration.
