Yunus Emre Tozal

I am a civil engineer with the Village of Niles and an essayist bridging municipal infrastructure with civic ethics, enriched by a Master of Arts degree from Catholic Theological Union (CTU). My work centers on public works, stormwater management, and local transportation, driven by the conviction that urban systems must be resilient, equitable, and designed for communities first.

Alongside my engineering practice, I regularly contribute opinion columns to publications including the Chicago Tribune and Daily Sabah. My writing explores transit infrastructure, emerging technology and privacy ethics, and urban sociology by connecting hands-on municipal experience and multidisciplinary scholarship with broader civic and cultural discourse.
