On July 16, 1996, it was supposed to be just another ordinary day for my parents, not until my mom felt she was about to give birth to her second child (me) at around eleven in the morning.

She named me Yves, which means "archer" in French. My other name, John, is named after St. John. My mom combined these two names because she said, she wanted me to always be strong whatever the circumstances may be, and make accurate decisions in life, just like how accurate an archer hits his target. But despite this physical and mental strength, she also wanted me to be kind and God- fearing, be a man with spiritual strength, just like St. John.

I am blessed to have such a beautiful family. My father, Rolando, is such a responsible and hardworking man. He would always give me wise words for me to live by in life. My mother, Cristita, is the most loving and understanding woman for me. Even though sometimes our perception in life contradicts, at the end of the day, I know she would always want the best for me and that she will support whatever my decisions in life are. I have two sisters; Ate Yvonne Jane and Yvette Joy, and one brother; Yvan Joseph.

I love to drive a single motor and cars. When I was a child my father thought me how to drive cars and it was a really good experience for me. I really enjoyed that. When I went to the college, my father bought me a motor and it became an instrument for me to see new places and meet new people as well. Since then, I became adventurous. I and my friends did night trips using our motors which we wanted to always look cool and run fast. I remember back then, we would compete in running our motors.

My goal in life is simple; finish my studies and work abroad so I can pay back all the sacrifices of my parents.
