Yvette Beauchamp-Grace

Atlanta, GA

Yvette was born in Bronx, New York. The youngest of 12 siblings, her large, creative family culture provided plenty of opportunities for social observation and creative outlets. In her formative years, she began creating programs with the youth of her church for afternoon programs.

Upon entering college, she became program director for the largest campus ministry while enrolled at Oakwood University, where she would earn her Bachelors in Psychology. She continued her education at Howard University, where she received a Masters in Counseling. Soon after she relocated to Atlanta Georgia and began work that would eventually lead her to begin producing interactive programming for her community through Cobb County Parks and Recreation.

Yvette’s path to media production began with the creation of a multimedia program, with her husband, about the Biblical story of Abraham's journey to sacrifice his son. They moved on to filmmaking with the short documentary, Hercules Slave Chef (2009) and Justine's Choice (2013).
