Yvette Weekes, Founder & Coach

I founded the Executive HR Coaching programme to support HR professionals along their career journey. I observed and experienced how HR often neglect themselves while serving others. However, I also recognised that coaching was a great way to ensure HR receive both the professional and emotional support they need amidst the challenges they face in their roles.

My Background

I come from an HR background like yourselves, operating as Head of HR during a corporate career spanning over 12 years before starting my own HR consultancy approximately 18 years ago. I worked in both standalone roles and in teams, from SMEs to large corporations across several sectors and industries including financial services, automotive, aviation, postal services and seafood processing.

During my career in corporate HR, I set up and managed several HR functions autonomously while serving as a key decision-maker. I had the invaluable opportunity to work closely with the C-suite which gave me deeper insights into strategic business operations. I also mentored new and aspiring HR professionals. Additionally, I coached managers and leaders into how they can develop their management skills and maximise their employees' potential for greater organisational success.

My Credentials

I am certified as an Executive Master Coach and Professional Image Consultant by the ImageMaker Inc. with endorsement from the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). I am also a Licensed Soft Skills Coach through the IITTI International Soft Skills Standards & Testing.

I have a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Management from The University of the West Indies. I am also certified in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Over the years I have kept up to date in HR by pursuing online professional development courses, as well as conducting coaching, mentoring, lecturing and corporate training sessions for business leaders, senior HR, public officers and managers.
