Yvette Goater

Hi, I’m Yvette and I am the Smarter UK field manager. I look after the sales relationships with UK stores and recruit, organise and manage event or store brand ambassadors for demonstrations and training, amongst other things.

I watched Smarter start from their original first single product as an unknown small UK start up and was impressed with how quickly they honed in on what the new generation of customers are looking for in a ‘smarter home’. I’m very keen on gadgets that link to the user, becoming more energy efficient, waste conscious and work to the convenience of the customer as I believe that is the future.

I love to work to targets and am excited to be working with Smarter to build on their already very swift pick up in success and push the brand to the next level.

I have previously worked for the past 7 years in various areas of marketing and promotions freelance for over 80 different brands. The past two years working for a kitchen-wear brand from the beginning of their launch into the UK holding a similar position which entailed looking after the brand image, presentation of displays and merchandising, stock management, and managing a large group of staff working in various high end retailers such as Harrods, Selfridges, John Lewis and House of Fraser. As well as providing brand product and sales technique training to staff. As a group, we managed to take the brand in 2 years from unknown to the top 5 selling brands in high end kitchen-wear and the number one in juicers selling at 56% of the market against 50 year old established competitors.
