Yvonne Ang
pianist and Student in Quezon City
A wise teacher once told me: “Reach for the sky, and you’ll reach the mountain tops.” I’ve come to perceive my music career through that mindset. It is in the understanding that music is not merely about conquering one recital or competition at a time, but it is about the continuous ascent, the discovery, and the growth that occurs with each step.
Yvonne Ang, the daughter of a musician, was introduced to the piano at a very young age. She has won prizes in competitions, such as the NAMCYA Junior Piano Category (2022), NYYPP (2022), Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition (2019), and PTGP Soundscapes Piano Competition (2011). She is currently enrolled as a student at the University of Santo Tomas under the Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Anthony Say.
