Born and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania. For undergrad education went to Vilnius University, for graduate school went to the College of William and Mary in the US. Worked for the World Bank in Washington DC, then moved to Europe to work for the European Commission. In 2011 - 2013 worked for the WWF European Policy Office. Currently working for European Anglers Alliance. From 1999 to 2005 lived in the US, from 2005 to 2011 lived in Italy, from 2011 live in Brussels, Belgium. Coastal, marine and fisheries expert.
