My passion is creatively engaging and equipping people of all ages to grow in their faith through social justice causes which serve the underprivileged. I am currently serving as an Ambassador for Feed My Starving Children, educating and engaging church communities in its mission. Feed My Starving Children tackles world hunger by sending volunteer-packed, nutritious meals to nearly 70 countries, where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and other building blocks of healthy communities. Most recently, I served as Interim Director of Children's Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, a thriving 1,000 member church. There, I oversaw nursery to fifth grade ministries for 200 children and 60 volunteers for a year. After receiving a theology degree from McCormick Theological Seminary ('08), I served as deputy director of a multi-faith non-profit utilizing social media to galvanize 70 international cities around social justice causes- and overseeing an international conference in Australia with 7,000 attendees from 80 countries. Prior, I held education and training director positions at Morningstar Investment Services, Inc. and Stein Roe Mutual Funds. And, since an undergraduate museum arts education internship, I have been a volunteer youth arts educator in museums and public schools. My radical faith heroes are Julian of Norwich, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Dorothy Day, Sister Helen Prejean, and Bishop Minerva Caracano and Reggie Joiner.
