Zach grew up in a small town in Oregon where he attended a charter school similar to The Sudbury Valley School. While there, he learned how to play.

In college, Zach studied Public Policy and Writing/Public Speaking at the University of Oregon. He has since worked as a fundraiser for two universities, a sales associate for an educational travel company, and a blogger.

During his not-so-free time, he stays active by hiking, climbing, running and camping. And stays motivated by mentoring high school students, taking improv comedy classes, and finding ways to make each day more memorable than the last.

Currently, Zach is chasing down his dream of becoming a professional writer (blogging and copywriting). If you'd like to know more about Zach, give or receive advice, or have him work for you, let him know. He accepts tweets, emails, messages, and invitations for coffee (or beer). Your choice.
