Zachary Coomes

Zachary is an undergraduate at Texas Tech University pursuing two degrees: a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the Rawls College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the College of Arts & Sciences. His interests lie in music, poetry, tennis, golf, cartography, and creating an impact on the world.
He is a member of the Goin' Band, Texas Tech's nationally recognized marching band and spirit organization. He was also recently inducted in Gamma Theta Upsilon, a national honor society for Geography Major. He was also a member of Eta Omicron Nu, a service organization affiliated with Texas Tech's Honors College.
His strong work ethic, combined with dedication, has allowed him to secure a position normally reserved for graduate students. He is currently employed as a Teaching Assistant in the Geosciences Department at Texas Tech. He teaches the introduction lab course for GIS and is responsible for the education of over thirty students.
