Throughout my life, I have had many different influential people in helping me become the writer I am today. It started out with my parents in elementary school because they wanted to allow me to get a head start on writing. Though elementary school they would make sure I used correct grammar in my speaking and they made sure I knew many of the basic rules of the English language. Next came my middle school teachers who began to expand my writing knowledge past what my parents were willing to teach me. They showed me how to break down sentences and use all of the parts of speech in the right ways. Lastly, my high school teachers taught me how to bring everything together and compose a well thought out piece. In teaching me how to create a well thought out piece, my high school teachers taught me about the writing process. They taught me how to go step by step and actually go back and review what I had written to correct most of the mistakes that I made. Now that I am in college I am expecting to further my knowledge of writing and be able to compose exemplary pieces.
