Hello there, I am Zachary Littrell and I am currently a junior at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL). I am majoring in Biology and hope to take that onward to medical school where I aim to be a pediatric cardiologist. The heart is always been something that has interested me and I want to one day be able to help children with congenital heart defects, the same way that doctors helped me when I was younger.
Over the summer, I like to spend a week of my time volunteering for St. Louis Childrens Hospital as a camp counselor at their camp for kids with heart defects, Camp Rhythm. I have been involved with the camp for six years, four years as a counselor.
Outside of camp, I am involved on campus at UMSL. My involvements are:
- Sigma Pi, Delta-Zeta Chapter Risk Management and Recruitment Chair (along with being Secretary)
- Pierre Laclede Honors College Student Associaiton Freshman Coordinator
- UMSL Pre-Medical Society Programming Chair
- Interfraternity Council Chapter Representative
In my own daily life, I strive to make the most of every day and I want to leave the world a better place than I found it.
