Zach Fowler

I am a professional musician (bassist, musical director) currently residing in Nashville, TN. I am currently the touring bass player for Warner Music Nashville recording artist, Dean Alexander.
I graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2006 with my Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Music (Double Bass Performance). At UNM, I was a member of the award-winning University of New Mexico Jazz Orchestra, and studied with New Mexico Symphony Orchestra assistant principal bassist, Mark Tatum, noted fusion bassist Gary Willis, noted solo bassist Trip Wamsley, and former Maynard Ferguson musical director Glenn Kostur.
I tour and travel extensively, both nationally and internationally. In addition to Dean Alexander, I have also recently performed or recorded with Josh Thompson, Jesse Keith Whitley, Eric Lee Beddingfield, Sasha McVeigh, Trig County, Dusty Hundley, and many others. Previous work includes The James Douglas Show, Romeo Johnson, The K.N.N., "The After After Party" television show, hONEyhoUSe, Newton vs. Gravity, and many others. My studio/session work includes several major labels and producers including Marc M. Doc Williams (Madonna, Janet Jackson, Mint Condition, etc.), Hector Delgado (Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Jaime Foxx, etc.), Mike Cee (Jennifer Lopez, Mystikal, Baby Bash, etc.), Al Bennett, Leo "Reck" Montoya, and Wall of Sound Studios. Other artists I have worked with include B. Howard, Kamilah Barrett, AB, David Wade, Leah Black, Martin's Favor, Paul Salazar, Sol Fire, Rena, Shauntel, Into the Ocean, Debbie Smith, Illustrated Man, David Nunez, and many others.
I am a five-time New Mexico Music Award winner, member of the 2009 New Mexico Music Awards All-Star Band, and a seven-time Grammy Award consideration. I am also an endorsing artist and clinician for Westone Music Products, Lectrosonics Inc., Carvin Guitars and Basses, Reunion Blues Gig Bags, NS Design, Gallien-Krueger Amplification, Radial Engineering, and D'Addario/Planet Waves.
