For a decade and a half, I have been teaching, designing curricula, conducting novel research, producing educational media, and building companies to address humanity's biggest risks and opportunities.

I’m currently the Managing Director for Capacity Development of Prosperity for the Commons International, an international development firm, and the Director of Education of The Divinity School, a leadership and advocacy organization for science and engineering.

I consult on ethical AI product development and was formerly on the board of the Ohio Public Banking Coalition.

Even earlier, I founded The School for the Future, an online school for effective activism, social entrepreneurship, and character development, and built Numina, a mobile app for scaling team coaching, which is still being used on a small scale.

I've led original research on designing tech to feel more “natural”: Digital Naturalness, and post-metaphysical contemplative practice: Trusting Desire. I've written popular essays on meditation and tech: Sonima, and on technology ethics, complexity, mindfulness, and future VR spirituality: Medium.

I have been meditating for over 15 years, including completing a 6 month solo meditation retreat.
