I am a video ninja, not just in my job title but in my life. By day, I film and edit video content and by night, I run through the streets in dark clothing as a vigilante justice ninja!
That last bit might not be true, but I am still a video ninja! Just more in the sense that ninjas are hardworking individuals who work toward mastering their chosen skills. I like to think this sums me up.
I found my love for filmmaking whilst making silly videos with my friends at high school during lunch time. I started out videoing with an unbearably clunky camera phone, proving that technology is making it easier for anyone to start a film career. But even with that crazy camera, I discovered that we are all natural storytellers.
We can tell an effective story through intelligent use of language, but then we could write it down and paint a picture and achieve incredible things. Take it one step further and capture a moving image, accompany it with sound and you have now begun to delve into the most addictive and effective way of telling a story.
Having graduated from SAE Institute in West End, Brisbane I took with me a Diploma in Audio Production and a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production and now I follow my passion for filmmaking as an aspiring screenwriter and director. I strive to capture the moving image to tell stories and share a message of self awareness to help others look inside themselves and understand more about who they are.
I believe that telling stories is so important because of the way we can help others through our experiences. I see a world where we could all be doing more to help each other and I find that the best way I can do that myself, is to share a message of self awareness and help people look inside themselves and become the best they can be.
If all works out I hope you all find yourselves at the cinema watching a film made by myself sometime in the future.
