My name is Zack Sampson; I am a student and journalist who will graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in April. Currently I am an intern at MuckRock, an open government organization in Boston, and I work part-time at The Boston Globe. On this website, you will find basic information about me and my work.
From May to August, I worked as a breaking news intern at the Tampa Bay Times. During my summer in Florida, I covered everything from extreme weather during hurricane season to a 10-foot python in an upscale neighborhood of St. Petersburg, Fla..
Before that, I spent a year and a half at The Boston Globe in various capacities covering many major stories ranging from a power outage in the heart of Boston to the Marathon Bombings last April. My experiences at the Times and the Globe have confirmed my choice to pursue a career in journalism.
