Zack Baddorf

Zack Baddorf is a multimedia reporter and communications professional. Since 2001, he has filed for National Public Radio, the British Broadcasting Corporation, Radio France International, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Deutsche Welle Radio, Voice of America, Radio Netherlands Worldwide, Raidió Teilifís Éireann, Public Radio International, Pacifica Radio, Wall Street Journal, Alternet and Inter Press Service. He has worked in about 30 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine and Kosovo. He worked five years as a U.S. military journalist. Among other projects, he has completed a half-hour, nationally-aired radio documentary on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, a half-hour video documentary about sea turtle preservation screened at a film festival, a book (in Romanian) about journalism for students, and a multimedia presentation about a new radio station in south Sudan. Baddorf serves as chair of the Free Speech Radio News board of directors while also volunteering on the non-profit organization’s Hiring Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. He’s a regular volunteer reporter at community radio station WMNF in Tampa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from the University of Maryland University College. He’s almost finished his master’s degree of international relations program with Webster University and is maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
