Zack Barnes

I am a special education teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools. I am also a PhD candidate in Literacy Studies at MTSU, where I am currently completing my dissertation.

I am also a freelance writer interested in education, science, politics and interviews. My writings have appeared in The Tennessean, Education Post, Nashville Scene, Memphis Daily News, and Nashville Ledger. Reach out for clips.

I helped create Tennessee Education Report, an education and public policy blog. I strongly believe in raising all teacher voices to add to the dialogue of education policy.
