Zaheeruddin White

Public Speaker, Political Activist, and Political commentator in South Africa

I am a South African writer and independent political analyst based in Cape Town, with a strong focus on geopolitics, international power structures, and global conflicts. My work is driven by a deep interest in how political narratives are constructed, how power is exercised on the global stage, and how historical realities continue to shape present-day international relations.

I approach global affairs from a perspective rooted in the Global South, informed by post-colonial history, contemporary geopolitics, and ideological analysis. I aim to challenge dominant narratives, question selective moral frameworks, and encourage critical engagement with issues that are often oversimplified or deliberately misrepresented.

What I Focus On

My primary areas of focus include:

Geopolitical analysis of the Middle East, Eurasia, and emerging multipolar alliances

International conflicts, sovereignty, and the application of international law

Political power, empire, and global influence

Media narratives, propaganda, and information warfare

Cultural and political commentary grounded in history and ideology

I write with the intention of making complex global issues accessible without stripping them of context or depth.

Background & Intellectual Foundation

I completed my education in South Africa, where I developed a multidisciplinary academic foundation that includes geography, life sciences, business studies, and language studies. This background informs my ability to analyse political developments through geographic, economic, and social lenses.

Much of my intellectual development has come through independent research, extensive reading, and continuous engagement with global news, historical texts, and political theory. I value intellectual independence and self-directed learning, particularly in areas that are underexplored or avoided in mainstream discourse.

Writing & Analytical Approach

My writing is characterised by being:

Direct, assertive, and unapologetic

Historically grounded and context-driven

Critical of power, empire, and selective moral narratives

Willing to engage with controversial and polarising subjects

Depending on the platform and audience, my tone ranges from formal analysis to sharp political commentary and satire. I do not write to appease, but to clarify, confront, and provoke thoughtful debate.

Media, Commentary & Public Discourse

In addition to long-form writing, I actively engage in short-form political commentary, particularly on social media, where satire and provocation often play a role in highlighting contradictions within political and media narratives.

I am also interested in alternative media models, anonymous commentary projects, and satirical political platforms that challenge conventional journalism while remaining intellectually serious.

Values & Perspective

My work is guided by:

A commitment to intellectual honesty and critical thinking

A strong interest in sovereignty, justice, and self-determination

A Global South and post-colonial analytical lens

An emphasis on verification, context, and accuracy

While my views are firm, I aim to contribute to meaningful discourse rather than noise, encouraging readers to interrogate assumptions rather than passively accept them.

Current Direction

I am currently focused on:

Expanding my body of geopolitical and political analysis

Refining my public intellectual and writing identity

Exploring the intersection of politics, media, and narrative power

Developing long-form and analytical commentary projects
