Hello, I’m Zainab. I’m a senior at Troy High. I love to travel, watch movies, and drink lots of coffee.
I would say I'm a hard working person. When I have tasks that need to be completed, I make sure I am at the top of my game and work to complete those tasks as soon as I can. However, I can sometimes be a big procrastinator and tend to pile things things up. Luckily I am able to get done everything I need by the time it needs to be done.
One thing I am extremely passionate about is becoming a doctor. It is the main thing that drives me, knowing that I need to start working hard right now in high school in order to be successful through pre-medicine and medical school. I had planned most of my high school career based on the fact that I want to pursue medicine, by taking most of the classes I thought were necessary to help me pursue my goal.
The reason I wanted to pursue the field of medicine is to help people. I know, this is the cliche and probably what most medical students say, this or they did it for the money. But it is true. I want to help people, because helping one person not only helps them, but helps everyone that cares/ loves that one person, and the people who loves those people and so on and so forth. It's a chain reaction that in turn gives happiness to a lot more people than that one patient you save. And this is what is the most important part, using my life to provide happiness and hope for as many people that I can.
But at the end of the day, I cannot predict what the future has in store for me, I can only help the outcome. Down the line I may change my career, but the passion will still be there. To live everyday doing the best I can for myself and those around me.
