I'm Zak, a Los Angeles based blockchain architect and CTO of Whiteblock, a blockchain testing company.

I've been involved in the blockchain space since 2012 when I got into Bitcoin. In 2016, I started to pay more attention from a development perspective when I first became aware of the Ethereum platform. It was pretty exciting to me at the time, but this excitement was short lived when the DAO Attack occurred, resulting in some unfortunate economic implications for me (and many others). I eventually got over it and started to play around with blockchain development which I've been pursuing ever since.

Not until this past year, however, did I think this hobby would lead to anything more than chatting with other enthusiasts in online forums, let alone lead to a career, but within the past year, I've been focusing on developing a blockchain testing platform. Initially, it was a passion project that complimented my day job at Apposite Technologies, a network testing company, but eventually it grew into a bigger thing and required more attention, so we launched Whiteblock, a blockchain testing company, in March of 2018. Now it's my full-time job and it's been pretty great.

When I'm not nerding out about blockchain, I like to play Dungeons & Dragons, draw comics, read books, play video games, go out on my sailboat, and travel with my wife.
