Zakithi Khumalo

Hi, I’m Zakithi Khumalo, a student teacher at the University of Johannesburg majoring in Mathematics and Physical Sciences.

I believe that teachers are life-long learners and that there is always something to learn from every encounter you have and in the importance of reflecting . I'm committed to making Science and Mathematics engaging and simple for all learners. Education, in my opinion, is more than just imparting knowledge; it also entails fostering critical thinking,creativity, communication , collaboration , curiosity, and confidence.

I seek to employ creative, technology-assisted, and cooperative teaching methods to enable the upcoming generation of learners. By combining theory, practice, and practical application, I am creating my own teaching philosophy and encouraging continuous improvement.

As a future STEM teacher, I think that reading, singing, and being outside help me relax and inspire my creativity in my spare time.
