My name is Zanele Jiyana, and I am a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in English for FET and Senior Phase as well as ICT School Support. I am training to be both an English First Additional Language teacher and a Computer Applications Technology (CAT) teacher.
Teaching is more than just a career for me—it’s a calling. I am deeply passionate about equipping learners with the knowledge, values, and digital skills essential for success in the 21st-century classroom and beyond. As a future-ready educator, I believe in creating inclusive, engaging, and technology-integrated learning environments where every learner can thrive. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to the transformation of South African education by nurturing critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible digital citizens.
