Hi! I'm Zach, and this is a little about me. Ever since I've been little, around the beginning of middle school, I've been passionate about lots of different things, but the one thing that sticks out to me the most, as I'm sure you can tell by the picture, is Ultimate Frisbee. This sport is one that has influenced me both in and outside of the sport, and is one that I think defines me the most. When I was about 12 years old, I played Ultimate for my high school team as a middle schooler. That experience alone has made me feel more confident in the prescence of those that may have more experience in a certain field or realm of expertise. I also think it has massively influenced my social ability. One thing I’ve noticed in playing this game is that almost all my peers are very friendly and approachable, which aligns perfectly with the foundation that the game is made on. If you’re unaware, Ultimate is a self officiating game, meaning there are no refs or outside sources influencing the decisions made on the field. This in turn leads to a more open and welcoming environment, specifically to new players of the game, which I feel connects perfectly to my thoughts about meeting new people, being as welcoming as I can, while staying healthy and active. Even now, almost 6 years later, I continue to play on the frisbee team here at UGA on the club team, and it’s been one of the best choices I’ve made.
