Zavia Cisca is a Master Cosmetologist that has been able to combine her makeup skills, hair skills and writing skills to educate her following on new and unique techniques. Her mission is to "Enhance the morale of individuals through the art of hair and makeup." Throughout her 20+ year career, Ms. Ross has groomed the faces of many. Smokey Robinson, Al Roker, Robin Meade, Sam Champion and many other familiar faces.
Like Zavia likes to say, she was "Bred in Trinidad, buttered in Brooklyn." Her Television career began shortly after moving to Atlanta, GA. While in Atlanta she has worked for CNN and all of its networks. BET, CBS, FOX, Food Network, HGTV, Comcast, Walmart media and Family Feud. Her work has been featured in the Atlantan and Modern Luxury magazines. Sheen Magazine also had a full page article on her in their 2013 issue.
She served as Manager of the hair and makeup Department at The Weather Channel for 7 years. Ensuring that all on-air talent and guests were camera-ready. However, maintaining appointments, executive communications, product orders, public relations and being present for all on-location LIVE shots were just as important in order to maintain a well run department. In addition to her extensive resume, she sits on the Board of Cosmetology at Gwinnett Technical College located in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Zaviais a talented bubbly ball of energy that uses her experiences altogether for maximum results on any project that she is working on.
