I'm an indedpendent Bangladeshi filmmaker and development storyteller. An alumnus of the Dept. of TV, Film & Photography, University of Dhaka and a member of the Global Impact Producers Alliance (GIPA), I bring over 13 years of experience across directing, screenwriting, and development communication.

Alongside filmmaking practice, I have led communication initiatives for international organisations including USAID, WFP, UNDP, Save the Children, EU, SDC, Helvetas, The Asia Foundation and World Vision, among others. My work with grassroots communities informs a cinematic approach rooted in neo-realism, exploring marginality, psychological fragility, and human disconnection.

I have directed nine indie films and over 25 documentaries (includes impact/ngo docs). My latest short Raven (2023) was officially selected at 19 international film festivals, receiving awards at the 4th Bangladesh Short & Documentary Film Festival (National Academy of Fine and Performing Arts), 6th Hill Film Festival, and the 10th International Film Festival of Shimla, and screening at major platforms including Minsk International Film Festival, Tokyo International Short Film Festival, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, IFFSA Toronto, DC South Asian Film Festival, Toulouse Indian Film Festival, Kazan and Dhaka International Film Festivals. My upcoming short Fallen Petals (2026) is expected to enter festival circuit at last quarter of 2026, and my debut feature NECROPHILE is currently in development.
