I live in Barnegat, New Jersey with my lovely wife, Jane. In 1970, I graduated from Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT) with a BS in Engineering Science. My major was Computer Science, and I founded Zeducorp in 1983, after working for IBM, Exxon, and the US Army in the interim.
Zeducorp is a consulting firm that develops computer software for personal computers, local area networks, and the World Wide Web. Over the years, we have used software development tools such as Digital Research's PL/I compiler, Microsoft's Visual Basic compiler, and Data Access' Dataflex database language. In more recent years, we have used MySQL and PHP server-side scripting tools as well as HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery client-side scripting languages.
Our initial personal computer software products included ZED, a full-screen text editor, and ZSS, an automated student scheduling system. Since then, we have developed a number of multi-user database applications, primarily for accounting, payroll, inventory, order processing, and student records tracking purposes. These applications typically ran on IBM-compatible personal computers that were linked via a Novell Netware network. As the Internet has grown in popularity and sophistication, we have concentrated more on developing websites for the World Wide Web.
Early mobile phones had fairly low-resolution displays, and one of our websites is a mobile directoryof common topics. Each directory page strives to reference mobile-friendly pages about a specific topic, and each page is linked to related pages via tag words and phrases rather than via a cumbersome hierarchy of categories and subcategories.
Our regional directory lists United States businesses and other organizations, categorized by their state, county, and product/service tags.
