Student, Musician, and Artist in Philippines
I am Zeryna Rodriguez and I am a 3rd year college student taking BM Music Education in Viola Emphasis in the Conservatory of Music of University of Santo Tomas. I am the Treasurer of the Student Council of USTCM.
My family can barely support my education in college because of my choice of education. But I strived hard and became a scholar of the UST Symphony Orchestra. I have volunteered in charity works in the Rizhle Charity Foundation to serve other children and to help my benefactor who helped me in my education.
I own the Music Express, a Philippine Music Store to help you decide the quality instrument of your choice at the right price from the local makers of the Philippines. I believe that “to profit is to give”. That is why when I built my business, I aimed to help those passionate and diligent youth who are less fortunate to get education and quality instruments for themselves.
I remember when my parents and I bought my first viola, it was in Lyric, a popular music store. It was cheap but it was hard- earned by my parents. It was precious to me and the memory is vivid. I also remember buying my present instrument from a local instrument dealer or seller, it was expensive for my parents but the price is worthy of the quality of the instrument. The moment I laid eyes on it, I fell in love with it. I pleaded with my parents for it. In the end we got a deal with the seller and I got it!
To make the story short, I want to help musicians, starting musicians and parents to have that memorable experience of finding your partner, your instrument in quality but affordable price, helping the local makers or sellers and also, helping a charity foundation in every purchase.
