Zeynep Tekiner
Artist in New York
Zeynep Tekiner is an artist who grew up in New York and then lived in Turkey for many years, where political division and polarization inspired her to incorporate elements of humor, irony, duality, and conflict in her painting style. Now located back in New York, Zeynep continues to explore the brimming tensions of day-to-day life via figurative paintings and portraits of friends, family, or strangers. She will soon pursue her MFA studies at the New York Academy of Art with a concentration in Painting.
Zeynep Tekiner earned a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Communication Arts from Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland in 1999.
