Kathleen Zhang

Hi, I am Kathleen, originally from China. I have finished my journalism degree from Lanzhou City University in 2013. During my undergraduate years, I participated in several media activities and won a scholarship for three times. Most importantly, I received first prize in newspaper design and first level innovation prize in the “Challenge Cup” competition. What is more, I have been a journalist and doing on-the-spot interview with my graduate essay instructor in the Province TV station. I also was involved in community activities as a volunteer during summer and winter holidays.

Study in Canada makes me learn more things outside of China even myself. It is a great start for me to make new friends and adapt to a different environment in a foreign country. I have stayed in Canada since September 2013, in an eight-month program at York University. Currently, I am a Social Media Graduate Certificate student at Seneca College. I really have a passion for social media and digital media. Through social media course, I learnt lots of social media strategy and technical skills. What is more, I got a Social Media Certificate and Google AdWords Certificate and that really inspired me.
