Zheela is born and raised in Kabul. She moved to Czech Republic in when Taliban took the leadership in Afghanistan. Zheela joined Radio Free Europe where she started to work with Persian Service. Zheela and her sister proposed the launch of Radio Azadi within Radio Free Europe right after 9/11th. Zheela is Georgetown President Master Program award winner where she accomplished her graduate study in conflict resolution and international relations. Zheela's unique background is a start from radio, developed skills with TV products at Alhurra TV, and launched Ashna TV as top reporter and producer. Zheela's the leading producer for social media within Ashna TV in which she reports and produces news wrap of the social media on weekly bases.
