In 2017, I obtained a Master’s degree in Translation Studies and have since worked as a freelance translator for EU institutions, primarily the European Commission and the European Parliament. Over my career, I have translated thousands of pages of legislative and administrative texts. My primary working language pair is English to Lithuanian, alongside Lithuanian to English, and Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish to Lithuanian.
In parallel with my translation work, I joined Vilnius University shortly after earning my Master’s, teaching translation-focused courses in legal and business translation, EU translation, applied corpus linguistics, English grammar, and Norwegian.
In 2026, I earned my PhD in Humanities after defending my doctoral thesis, Eurolect and Its Impact on the Syntax of Lithuanian Legal Language. My academic research directly reflects my practical expertise, focusing on Eurolects, EU institutional translation, legal and comparative syntax, and applied corpus linguistics in descriptive translation studies. I am also a member of the Lithuanian Association of Distance and e-Learning (LieDM).
