I have spent most of my life growing up playing sports. I have played baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and soccer. My favorite was baseball, which I played all the way through high school. Baseball has been a driving force in making me who I am today. It has enstilled a high level of values in my life and has given me a chance to learn how to lead my peers and understand how to take a leadership role in anything I do. Throughout many years of playing baseball, many of my coaches have given me life lessons that I still carry with me today. I still continue to watch sports of all kinds on TV and while I do not play competitively, I do often play sports with friends and family. Attending games or even just watching baseball has always been able to bring my family together in ways that other things have not been able to. Baseball will always be one of my passions because the joy it brings and its ability to connect me with the ones I love.
My time now is spent mostly with schoolwork. I go to UMass Amherst and major in accounting. I am in the Isenberg School of Management here at my school and feel I have put myself in a good position to succeed in the future. Another interest of mine that I have been pursuing has been real estate. I have taken a real estate course and I am currently studying to take my real estate licensing test.
I want to grow up to be an accountant because I understand that the skills I have work well with the accounting field. I like the idea of having job security, so knowing that every business needs an accountant is a very reassuring reason as to why I chose to get into the field.
I want to be able to support my family and be able to provide for the people who depend on me. I want to continue to follow the sports I grew up loving and travel to see all of the different parks, arenas, and stadiums across the country as well as visiting new and interesting places all over the world.
