Daniel Zhi Tang

Daniel Zhi Tang, Ph.D.

Daniel's research background begun in 2001 at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign working on the physical modeling and simulation for micro/nano-electromechanical systems, following two years of work as a research assistant at the State Key Laboratory of Clean Combustion of Coal, Tsinghua University in Beijing China. In 2008 he joined Riverbed Technology in California, a technology company that specializes in improving the performance of networks and networked applications. Currently, he is serving as Vice President of Qinghai Honfoo Mining Co., Ltd, and is also the principal leader of the Magnasia Project. He is also serving as Vice President of Beijing Kingway Technology Co., Ltd, a high-tech startup specializing in the implementation of a new generation of semiconductor materials and power devices for green energy applications.

He received both Bachelor and Master degrees in thermal engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, USA
