Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colours from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white.
But we decide which is right.
And which is an illusion?
I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana but was raised in a small town that was called Farwell in Michigan. For the first 17 years of my life thus far I spent in a town that prioritised big trucks and camo more than higher education. Thankfully I found Music to get me through this physical essence of poop. I learned to play guitar as a freshman in Highschool because I was too good at playing guitar hero that I needed more of a challenge. Hyperspeed 5 couldn't handle this. And thus began my slow transformation from a nerdy kid that loved photoshop and computers to a slightly less nerdy kid that still loved photoshop and computers but now could play guitar. My first public performance was during my junior at a school talent show called “Mock Rock.” Im sure my rendition of “The Red” by Chevelle was the worst thing that anyone has ever heard in their entire life. As cliche as this sounds, it didn't discourage me it gave me more drive instead. I got exponentially better in one year and I purchased my dream guitar which was a Dean Dave Mustaine VMNT Angel of Death. It was and still is my most prized possession. I played the most thrashiest crazy song that I could think of for my senior year Mock Rock; I played “Devil's Island” by my all time favorite band Megadeth. The intro solo totally melted the faces of all within hearing distance and all that was left was the pale white skeletons of what was their heads. Needless to say I won second place and wasn't even mad! My friends band won first so we were totally chill. At the time I didn’t think their cover of “Downfall of Us All” by A Day To Remember was very good but now looking back they had their shit together! And thus ends my senior year. I chose Music Tech because I am a huge tech nerd and I love music. It sounds pretty straight forward but I almost was a chef. I took a certificate course in high school that got me high school credit and college math credit as well as a Serv-Safe Certificate. Yes thats how it was spelled… I got a job in culinary arts that totally changed my mind. long story short it sucked, hardcore. So here a I am! A sophomore in College with nearly half of a Music Tech degree and I couldn't be happier. Sorry for the short description!
