Zenande Nobanda

Student, Teacher, and Volunteer in Johannesburg, South Africa

Hey there, I’m Zenande, a third-year BEd student from the University of Johannesburg, majoring in English for Senior Phase and FET Teaching and a support role of School Library and Information Centre Support (SLICS). I've chosen the SLICS elective to deepen my understanding of how libraries 4.0 can empower learners and bridge educational gaps in South Africa.

Beyond academics, I'm actively involved in community engagement at UJ CE, where I contribute to initiatives focused on education, food security, and youth empowerment. The experiences I gain from these programs help me grow into a reflective, compassionate, and driven future educator.

Overall, I'm passionate about equipping young minds with critical thinking skills, fostering a love for reading, and creating supportive learning environments that acknowledge diverse learner needs.
