Howdy, I’m Zintle. I’m a student teacher at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. I am majoring in Business Management and ICT school support.I am 22 years of age and exactly 1.45 meters tall. I am a fan of technology, music, photography and entrepreneurship. I’m also interested in arts and food. You can view my photos with a click on the button above. I have 5 years experience in customer service.

In this module I expect to have advanced my technological abilities by learning more about technology and how to integrate it in order to improve my teaching and benefit the teaching and learning process. Further to be a competent preservice teacher.

My technological abilities are those of an ICT student. Most of my technological abilities were enhanced due to the fact of working for an internet café in 2015. However I would like to advance my skills even further because as a teacher you have to be a lifelong learner and technology being part of our daily lives it would unfortunate to not use any opportunity to learn. The biggest challenge that I face is lack time management skills and discipline. The inability to balance academics and family and social relationships. Furthermore I fear the unknown. I despise change hence using only one solution to solve problems

I want to be the kind of teacher that not only facilitates learning but also learns from these learners. To be the kind of teacher that exposes learners to develop their critical and creative thinking abilities. Furthermore to ensure that the teaching and learning is authentic to real life situations that they are facing or may still face. Also being responsible and accountable of molding and developing these young minds to be become active citizen and reach and realize their full potential.

My drive to make my family proud of me is what makes me wake up in the morning, the fact that I am their hope to getting out or ending the generational poverty cycle in my family.
