Education Student | Youth Advocate | Founder of Nokukhanya We Care

I’m a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, specializing in Senior Phase and FET teaching ,but more than that, I’m someone who believes deeply in the power of young people, and in what happens when we are truly seen, heard, and supported.

I matriculated from Protea Glen Secondary School with distinctions and leadership experience that taught me the value of service, integrity, and showing up even when it’s hard. Growing up, I always felt that education was more than just books. For me, it became a way to rewrite stories, restore confidence, and break cycles.

That belief led me to start Nokukhanya We Care a nonprofit rooted in the idea that light belongs to all of us. We help matriculants navigate university applications, offer tutoring, and do school visits and food drives, all powered by young people who care enough to make a difference.

I carry my values into everything I do: empathy, resilience, and a commitment to lifting as I rise. Whether I’m standing in front of a classroom or sitting with someone who’s lost hope, my goal is the same to remind them that they are enough, and that their dreams are worth fighting for.
