Too often students try to blend in, to fit in, instead of being themselves and being proud of that fact. I have to tell you… I am proud of the fact that I was different. I didn’t fit into a square box and I loved it. I am sure my name with every bit of the alphabet helped.

I figured out early on in high school that everyone was trying to fit in and that didn’t matter much to me; I stood out because I wasn’t trying to fit in. And neither should you allow the rules of ‘the game of life’ trap or limit who you want to be and where you want to go.

For the past six years, I have worked with students and have found it incredibly rewarding, energizing and fulfilling. Recently, I launched my own business, a2z Consultants to focus my work towards High School students to prepare them for the next phase of their life.

I believe that education is crucial; however, there are certain interpersonal and other soft skills that are needed to augment that education, and those skills are what I share in my presentations that will empower students to have a vision for their own journey.
