Zachary J Ricks

Zach Ricks is a writer, attorney, and podcaster living in Austin, TX. He grew up in SE Idaho, USA, in what is reportedly the most conservative county in the US, and eventually wound up going to law school at one of the most liberal law schools in the country. Zach is a co-founder and managing editor of Flying Island Press' (FIP) science-fiction / fantasy e-magazine - "FlagShip", and can be heard semi-regularly on FIP's podcast - the Galley Table - available at flyingislandpress.com.

Former podcasts include Geek Survival Guide and the Gut Check Cast with Doug Rapson (of Geek Acres fame), and Mae Breakall. Zach is also involved in the Central Texas 9-12 project. He and his wife have one daughter.
